If you have some kind of program that can record sounds from your computer, you can record the music with the Jukebox mod.

Feel free to use this and link to the Bit-Blot website :D

Yeah, tell me about it. Still waiting for news on the soundtrack, but I'm not sure if they're doing anything with it and I'm losing interest fast :/.

Yeah, what the hell. I mean its not like it takes time to produce a soundtrack or anything. Or like one of the dudes is on holiday so the other guy can't produce anything. I mean geez, why didn't the game take -1 year to develop (coming out in the past) that would have been great!

Just a question, why does it take 2 people to compile the music. Unless the guy who's missing has the encryption key to the music collection.

1) Would be nice if you let us know that you are actually doing something about it in a normal person way :).
2) If you did already say you were doing that in the soundtrack topic, then yeah sorry but I did keep checking it for a few days after making it and it didn't seem to be getting anywhere, and then I saw this topic without an official response.

Maybe I should say this in a way more similar to you:

yeah what the hell its not like we arent all alec and know whats going on on his side of the computer screen at all times.

actually man i dont even know what the hell you were trying to say in your post. something about people whining about the game? i dont think anyone said anything about the game in this topic.

need to take a vacation imo.

I'd like to get Derek's help to produce a soundtrack. I'd like him to do art and stuff for the booklet!

And wtf is that about "losing an encryption key". I wrote the music so I have all the original files!

Well I was being humorous, but feel free to hate me if that's what gets you off.

Just don't hate me AND demand that I do things. One or the other, please.

Well it came across as kind of just pissed-off-with-people-moaning-so-I'll-be-a-jerk-too, like the post over in the difficulty thread. It's kinda hard to be civil when other people don't make the effort!

And no one is demanding anything. People are asking if there is any way to rip the music tracks from the game, and I was wondering if there was any progress on the soundtrack, but that's all. And as far as I can see, neither of those were even answered!

So, yeah, really I'd stop taking things so aggressively. I can understand that you'd be getting pissed off answering the same questions multiple times, and having to answer EVERY official question on your own if Derek is away, but yeah people on the internet are pretty easy to upset and this place'll get even more unpleasant pretty quickly if the people (or person, in this case) in charge responds like that to simple, unoffensive.. well, I want to say requests, but no one even requested anything.

Yeah, great.

And everyone was friends again.

cough

Aaaaaanyways.

Lemme explain a bit about what's happening with the soundtrack as far as I know. Anyone?

the sound of crickets chirping

Cool, a'ight.

Well I'd like to do a CD release thing. I'm not sure how that would work exactly. We'd have to produce CDs. I'd like to go through all the tracks and clean them up a bit. (minor tweaks, maybe some normalizing) Maybe record a couple special tracks. (a piano-only medley thing?)

Then do a cool lil' booklet with art and liner notes, lyrics for the ending song, etc. (maybe some lil' hidden extra messages written in aquarian and that kind of thing) I'd like to work with Derek with that, because... its nice to work on things with other people.

But I don't know:

A) where to get it printed
B) how to ship it
C) whether its worth the investment (if anyone would really buy it, or if it would just prevent the people who have threatened to kill me if I don't make one from actually killing me)

The other option is some kind of iTunes release, I also know nothing about that.

Aaand I suppose we could release it all for free as well? I dunno. At least in that case I'd know how to do it. :D

But yeah, if someone made an extraction tool for getting the oggs out of the data file, it wouldn't be bother me in the slightest.

Not that I could do anything about it anyways!
