Planned mailing Date 1970 ! Its already late!
Now you mention it, mine too!

Whoah! Hahaha, I wonder why that is??  :o
We've been experiencing a few weird things like that with Paypal. Another gentleman ordered to a Canadian address, which we ship to as a letter through Canada Post, and Paypal told him UPS was handling it...
I guarantee you your orders did not ship in 1970. They should be right on time  :D

Isn't 1970 like the first point in time computer clocks started counting from? I'm sure I've seen the year before.
EDIT: Yepyep
Unix time, or POSIX time, is a system for describing points in time, defined as the number of seconds elapsed since midnight proleptic Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) of January 1, 1970, not counting leap seconds.

Planned Mailing Date: 1 Jan 1970

Hah!  Somebody forgot to assign a value into their time_t variable.  (The ISO C library defines time_t as a number -- usually a long int -- representing the number of seconds since midnight on Jan 1, 1970.)

Dec 31, 1969 is what you'd get if the time_t was initialized as -1 instead of 0.  (And a lot of processors store integers in the Two's Complement format, which means that initializing the binary to all 1s represents -1, while all 0s is 0.)

Haha, I have no idea why this is happening. Does PayPal have a y2k bug or something? Whoops, just saw the UNIX post.

In any case, if you got an email about shipping it means we sent it out the next day. So no worries. :)

I think we've sold about 140 orders and shipped about 110 of those.

We should break even in roughly 60-80 orders, so spread the word if you have friends or family that you think might want to get a copy.

ALSO: We're thinking about moving to a new service that charges us less per order. (Etsy has some silly fees) We're also looking into a digital release.

... I guess they just simply forgot to update their calendar after that episode...

But aw, it arrives after my birthday and Christmas... and just my luck all offices are closed because of New year holiday.

Alec, have you looked into using a PayPal shopping cart?

On a side note, Infinite Ammo appears to be down.

I initially tweeted it, but I figure this may be a better place to ask. Is there a chance that those of us who already purchased may be able to get some money off of the digital download? I'm super eager to listen, and I have no idea how long it will be until my copy arrives. I plan to donate more in general to the marian project in the future, but right now I'd rather have the $10 for other things.

Even if not on a mass scale, you could, upon request from an email address registered with a CD purchase, toss out a link or something? Dunno--thought I'd ask!

edit: You don't seem to be active today, so I guess I will just go out on a limb and buy it. If I get a refund on it, cool. If not, oh well. Tough day calls for Aquaria OST.

edit2: For anyone who cares, if you order the FLAC version, you CAN still download the MP3 version if you don't feel like transcoding it yourself, despit what the site says. And, while I can't test it, it would seem that if you (accidentally or not) chose MP3 and decide you wanted the FLAC, that's also possible. If you look at the source of the download page, you will find a link in this format:
Quote
http://popplers5.bandcamp.com/download/album?enc=ENCODINGMETHOD&id=YOURID&payment_id=YOURPAYMENTID&sig=YOURISG
Basically, you can just search for "?enc=" and go from there. Replace -only- the field ?enc=BLAH with one of the following, as listed on their site: "mp3-320", "mp3-v0", "mp3-v2", "aac-hi", "aac-lo", "vorbis", "flac", "alac"

And, obviously this won't work if you haven't already purchased it -- this is in no way a method to bypass purchasing this amazing album. This is also helpful if you don't want/can't have flash, as it lets you do a normal direct-download

@Alec: Feel free to let me know if you want this removed for some reason. It seemed like something people would want to know, and I found it very useful for downloading it straight to my laptop after purchasing on my PC.

I was thinking about offering coupon codes to people who have already ordered the physical CD.

Its just a logistics problem, so I want to think about it a liiiittle bit first.

Edit: Yeah, I think I can just email blast everyone download codes, but I need to figure out all the details first.

If that doesn't work, we'll set up some email for existing customers to contact to get a download code.

Edit2: But right now I'm pretty buzzed, so I think we'll look into it tomorrow. :P

Does anyone know if FLAC is supported in QuickTime and iTunes?  I kinda think not.  It has support for a format called "FLC", but I think that's a video format (related to AutoDesk), not an audio format.  So it's possible that if I wanted the downloadable version, I'd need to get it in MP3 (or AAC if that's available).
