...it's up to Bit-Blot to gain privileges (being able to choose how the game is sold on Steam) by selling lots of games (and at the low, low price of $20) and up to Valve for getting it into their thick skull that Bit-Blot deserves the freedom and that Aquaria is one of the most desirable 2D games.

I'm not sure I understand.  Why/how would it be sold any differently than any other game on Steam?

I thought it was a done deal based on Alec's posts, just a matter of when the new build would be ready :(

It's a done deal, but Alec was talking about how Valve wanted complete control over the portal... nothing important, almost a matter of pride and dignity

Looks like they bumped the price down a little - but it's worth it considering the exposure. Great work guys!  :D Now if only there was a way to move my version to the steam portal...

[EDIT] I know it's a discount.

Price is the same ($19.99) but the game is temporarily on a 20% sale. (until Dec. 31)

Is this something related to Steam, or is it in the new Mac and PC version as well?

They are Steam achievements, so they will only be in the Steam version, as far as I know.

if you already bought Aquaria, will it be possible to use or key code to link it to steam and have those achievements or being able to download the game from steam later on?

Too bad about the achievements, would have been to be able to get the game through steam with our cd-keys, but it doesn't work.
