Now i'm playing in the real servers but i'm playing with an Elyos templar, i tryed to make him resemble me, but it ended resembling a little to Brad Pitt , i named him Aquiles (Achilles)

I got a key for the open beta,  ending the download of the client and soon i'll be ready to go ^^. It begins the 6th of September

I have planned to create and asmodian CHANTER called Naija, it was difficult to chose between Elyos (angelic people) and Asmodian (fallen angels with metal claws in their hands and toes and  bluish skin (it matchs pretty well with Naija's skin color) but Asmodae is beautiful too, not just Elysea, it has twilight gardens, snow lands and seas.... I'll send you a screenshot with her portrait, i'll try to clone her face as exact as i can.

PS In fact this could be a "what if..." of Naija as a winged creature


EDIT: The character creation tools are quite potent, but i had a hard work creating Naija's face, it was a challenge while confronting the Naija's pictures and my personal taste about women faces. This is the result

Later in the game, if you don't know where to go, simply try to discover everything in the map, it's more useful if you try to follow the indications of the cinematics. And if you see something impossible to cross, probably it's impossible by the moment.

Talking about the sequel, who are the sleeping girl and the rocketship sailor boy? I supposed the boy was the son of Naija but the girl/woman.... looks like Naija time after, doesn't she?

Gameplay / The new ending (spoiler)

EDIT: Now it's done, i loaded the game and i noticed that i saved before unlocking the third memory. Now i saw the special ending.

I expected a happy ending but this is a good hang-up for the sequel.


I wonder who are those 2 new characters, the woman and the man. The man seems the child of Naija, but the woman is..... probably Naija, it's sleeping after have lost again her memories. I suspect that her son is going to rescue her after living her memories through the blue crystal

I ended the game once, that song is supposed to be the lullaby of the kid that was sang by his mother. This kid is the creator god that destroyed all civilizations and created Mia. the mother of Naija.

But i didn't remember that you needed the song to open a gate. Is that all?

General / Will you write a book from this game?

I think it would be a great idea if you write a book of the official history of Naija. There are many empty spaces in Naija's story we want to know. The thinks that happened before the game, after the game, and it would be nice if you include the game history but told in first person or even from Li's point of view. This is something that could provide a solid script for the second part of Aquaria if you decide to make it someday and, by the way, it'll please a lot of fans.

What do you think?

I didn't played Myst, it's not my kind, but Riven was amazing, the entire game was a giga-puzzle, not just the little puzzles you find everywhere, sometimes you need tips from distant places in the game to solve puzzles in other places. It pretty similar to Aquaria in that aspect but in a bigger scale

Really i don't want to play the entire game again, at least by the moment. Thankfully the third memory can be reseted in-game, i enjoyed very much this one (really cute)

Finally i could find the whale's pearl and oppening the room where the third memory was. Really charming memory and the music is perfect, it seems to be the birth of Naija

I want to know if you can see again the three memories, i want to see them more in detail


Another thing, i learned the ghost boy song (well, the ancient god song) but it doesn't appear in my song list, i mean, the icon doesn't appear but when i sing it, the icon appears just a second and then dissapears, but i don't know what is its use. I finished the game once and now i want to finish it again with the threee memories. I want to know if the dark ghost (seems to be Mia, the mother of Naija [at the beginning i thought her mother was the princess of Mithalas]) visites you more times. I remember it at the beggining, in the verse cave when it touches you, then at the exit of Mithalas, and i think she visites you once more. But i don't know if that's all.



PS This PS is for you, the developers. Do you think it would be a good idea to write a book about Naija and Aquaria? With more details about everything that happens in Naija's live, Aquaria and the lore.... everything. It would be great, seriously. I'll buy it, despite it would be in english (i'm spanish, hi there ^^)

Yeah, it'd be great if there were a sequel to this excellent game. And i'm glad to see it between the first 5 best indie games. I didn't tried Cave Story, maybe someday i will do it.

You should check this other game, it's almost indie and it's still a great adventure-puzzle game today
