Help! I'm Stuck!

Anybody got tips to defeating that inky octopus boss to get the baby it's hiding? I would love to have that little bugger. >.<

The little baby is Dumbo I believe

The only strategy I know:
Stay above him every time you're not attacking him.
Calm down.
Make things bright when it gets dark.
Kill the little squid.
When things are calm jump in front of his mouth.
Then immediately jump a bit back so that you won't get grabbed by the tentacle.
Shoot at the... thing in his mouth.
Keep repeating the jump and shooting until he spews ink.
Go back up again, cling to the wall, change to sun form again and lighten the place again.
Then repeat the stuff again.

When you get hit by the little squid, go back up above the octopus and kill the thing, and lighten the place if the place gets inked by the octopus.

So, tk'dr, stay above the octopus, keep the place lightened, kill the small octopus each time, jump in front of the mouth/beak of the octopus, jump back immediately and shoot, then repeat.

I have another question (gosh, am I the only one who ever asks questions?). Do I have to do the Whale before the Sunken City? I can't get the Mother song to work on anything and I've yet to go to the Whale if that's what's needed.

You actually never have to go to the whale... It's optional and only needed in order to get the third memory...
To get into the sunken city, you need Li... then right click on the door (the right clicking was what got me)

Remember, the cursor lights up whenever you hover over an interactive item. That saved me in the Mithalan throne room.

I am working on this for 2 days:( I saved those 4 spirits but i can't take Li out. What should i sing? Or should i go and get something more? I tried singing 4 notes which spirits represent. I am open to any hint...

Sing the same song you did to open the Sunken City door. I believe that's the key, but I did it a completely different way. Randomly hitting notes.

Did you open sunken city's door with a song??? Li opened it for me actually. And random notes!! Come ooon! It maybe mean some hours my friend. There are 8 notes. Pleaseeee!! I beg for a help:(

Thanx!! Now i saved Li but i stuck near a door in body. I beat the boss he lost his face, took Li i beat him some more and he transformed to something ugly and escaped. I followed him with sun form. He escaped every time seeing me.  I got down more and find one of those flowers which gives some ingredient when you sing. So i transformed my normal form and get it. But when i continue exploring i faced a closed door. How will i pass it? Did i do something wrong? Should i be fastly run after him? How does this door will open?

Okay, so I'm within the Sunken City and the little boy is crying under the tree. I can't get past the stone door thing there. How do you open it?
