I too found it disappointing - I was really excited thinking I had discovered the key to an easter egg. After puzzling over it for half an hour I realized that the cat was just a cat.

Also, Chibi, it's strange, cause deep in the files of Aquaria there IS in fact a cat. However, I don't think I've seen it ingame.

Yes I found that ead and swam around with it for a while but I thought that it was just a little piece of amusement or whimsy lol

You could use it the same way that you use the rocks though
