No, whoever made it had to record the music from the game. Some track titles are also wrong.

Alec, you could do a remix album kind of thing...

For example, take Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for example - it had the Lost Woods music/Saria's Song and people absolutely loved that. and Kenji Kondo(the composer) came up with a remixed Saria's Song and it was waaaay more popular than the original. One could listen to the song all day long and get never bored with it. you could do something like that... Im sure Aquaria would sound equally good, if not better in a remix.

There already is a superfly remix, check the jubebox mod thread.
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

Yeah, that'd be cool! :D

I'd like to do a piano arrangement as well.

My suggestion is to put the in game music up on the website (either only for people who bought the full version, or to everyone).  Then, depending on your time and people's interest in it,  maybe make and  sell an album that has higher quality, remixed, and expanded versions of the tracks. That way people will be able to listen now without starting up Aquaria and leaving it in an active window, and you'll have a project that can maybe bring in a few extra dollars.

I don't know how that sounds from your end of things, but I think that would be a way do both the free download option and the soundtrack for sale option.

torrents are probably one of the safest ways to get stuff. I've never really heard of someone getting infected by a well seeded torrent, like bungiefan said, it just wouldn't be seeded then. once I saw an episode of smallville being posted a week before it was supposed to come out and looked into the file list, wouldn't you know it was an exe not an avi.  there's going to be people trying to exploit it but the herd is pretty good at looking out for each other in this instance.

Alec, you rawk, very generous and cool about your music.  hope in time there is a soundtrack and it sells famously for you  :)

Seems like you got pretty popular on last.fm, even with an unreleased soundtrack. :]

Yeah about Last.FM they're starting up a royalty program for artists in any degree.
It's based on each full transmission of a song and if you become really really popular it's probably still on something like
$0.005.

Still if you would release the soundtrack in CD format I would buy it asap.(Maybe with a art booklet and maybe with the game?)

Best wishes Jonas

PS. Can't wait until you release another epic game  ;) DS.

It's nice to know that even today there are people that will talk about things in complete ingorance and still believe they're correct on the subject. (Re: Torrents)

Also, really, seriously could we talk about remixes and piano arrangements and suchforth after the regular soundtrack is released, please? Words do not convey how much i've been wanting to hear the music for this game. Not to mention how much i absolutely loathe having to open up the game to listen to the music.  And it can't even be minimized so i can still hear it while i play, oh, WoW. I love the music in this game, but i want a more effecient way to listen to it already.

We're working on a release right now, but I want to make sure it kicks ass before we put it out.

I expect little else

Thus back to lurking patiently, watching your every move until the glorious, delicious soundtrack is released to the masses, whereupon i will devour it at full force and maximum speed and effeciency.
