Video Walkthrough
« on: December 18, 2007, 04:04:32 pm »
While I play through the game, I will record all of it and put it on YouTube. Even though I get lost sometimes, it should give a general idea of what to do and how to do certain things. When a video is supped it means I'm just traveling or looking around, without reaching much.

I tagged the videos with different colors.
Red features a (mini/optional) boss
Yellow features a new form
Green features an Ancient Turtle, and thus a warp point
Orange features a pet, which you can find four in the game, but most of the times it requires a certain form.

I'll try to do a new video every few days, but don't get your hopes up. I'm busy with things that are called school, work, sleeping, eating, taking a shower (only once a month, but it takes a while when you're dirty), gaining weight, losing weight and whatnot. I'll update this thread when I added new material, but feel free to subscribe to my YouTube page if you want to be informed whenever I did something new.

I only watched Mithalas Cathedral pt. VI. Maybe you should only upload vids where you know what to do. A walkthrough should help people, but your strategy for fighting the boss won't kill him, doesn't matter how hard you try. And you swam past a pretty good healing item without picking it up. Is it a speedrun-walkthrough?

Otherwise, you did a lot of work and I like the idea! So keep it on but maybe with a bit more accuracy. :) And welcome to the forums!

I think the bosses are the only thing you really could use a video for.

what are you using to record? I tried a few things, but they made terrible videos and didn't capture sound.

Hmm...why did you go into energy form at all while dodging those balls of light?  It's not like your shots hurt him.  Plus he automatically backs away when he summons a minion, so no need to keep him pushed back.  Really it's much easier if you just stay in your base form and use shield song occasionally (keyboard shortcut 9, in case you didn't know).  In fact, you only ever need energy form to force him to suck in the froggy.  Also you might have wanted to use an energy form shot +1 food if you had any.  It would make the fight shorter and the less time you have to spend recording the better I think.

This...game...ROCKS!

Nah, he doesn't go backwards after creating a minion. I always had to push him back.

BTW Grawl, GJ IMO. (I've finished the game so I don't need to watch it...but its a good idea). And that minimap bug is a crackup. ;)

If you wait too long he'll come back. To avoid that, I shoot him so he stays back while I wait  for the merman to transform and while I bind it.

I like your method of defeating the nautilus.  I didn't think to use a rock.  Of course I had far less trouble with the fireballs so much as the mininautiluses.

Added a video for the Fish Form. I also updated the first post to make it more clear what each video contains (nothing, boss, turtle, form and/or pet.

Wow, don't know if I found out how to beat the boss in the body without these videos :)
