How the hey do I get to this cutoff area in Kelp Forest? I'm stumped.

See how there's a cutoff part of the map?  I'm currently in a little alcove not on the map that I was sure led to that area...but it doesn't.  Has anybody managed to get in there?

You can get there later in the game, much later.

And the entrance to it is NOT in the Kelp Forest, so you can stop searching there.

Well...I just cleared away the "obstruction" in the abyss into what I can only assume is the endgame, and now I'm on a collection spree before I finish the game.  Will I get there naturally from where I'm supposed to go next or should I be searching that place for treasures?

I'm not sur I understand you correctly, but if you still want to find this special place in Kelp forest, the entrance is not in the abyss or in following maps.

Quite frankly, the entrance to that looks something else entirely. The only reason I didn't found it myself was by sheer dumb (bad) luck.

But if you really want to know: [Spoiler]In the Arnassi ruins, go to the area on the right that is only accessible by fish form. Ride the turtle.[/Spoiler]

No more need, I found the way.  I had actually found that way earlier in the game but I didn't have the correct form at the time to utilize it.  Bad luck indeed.
