Anyways, my idea is this. It would be nice to be able to view the movie clips that you have after fighting a boss so that if you wanted to see it again because you missed something, or just want to see it, you can. For the Energy god you can use his corpse, for the the Nature goddess you can just click on her mortal shell (trying to minimize spoilers lol) or maybe do something at the sprite cave, and I think Mithalas corpse is still there, not sure. You guys will have to think of something for the sun temple though.

Not a bad idea.  A time trial for the bosses would be welcome, too (think Shadow of the Colossus and its Reminisce Mode or whatever it was called).

The only bad side of this would be food, will we have items or not and if we do will we get limited or the stuff that we used in the game.
Also to note that most bosses, actually almost all, require your brains at first.
And to again note, which forms will we already have? All? I don't think that would be wise with the energy god.

And I also agree with smjjames, maybe when you click the bosses their corpses that you again see the cutscenes again. Just like when you right click your abilities that she explains them again.

I don't think it would be so rough.  Obviously you could have more stuff and you'd know how to beat them, but you could stock up on items just as easily when you first fight them as you could later.  That's up to the player.  And it wouldn't be hard to lock out certain forms for a boss replay.  Most of these issues are common to games that let you go back and play bosses again, and they can all be handled in one way or another.  But it's kind of off-topic.  I agree with both of you wholeheartedly that it'd be lovely to be able to view scenes again.

yea, only problem with the Sun god worm (I think he may have mutated into a worm and wasn't one to begin with, not sure. Sort of like Mithalas as he may have been more human looking.), is that he does not leave a corpse. Which is why I said that the devs will have to think of something.

Yeah, but the same goes for the memories, there's nothing to click on to view them again.
And Quemaqua, I meant that with some bosses you could have had different amount of forms. As i heard in the forum that alot of people did not have the same sequence of obtaining the forms as me, when they said: I have this this and this and I'm here. And I was like wtf, you have that shape so early?

Even though you are right, not every shape is even usefull in a boss battle.

The only exception would be the Energy god since you really have no choice at that time.

The main reason why I want to be able to see the movie scenes again is because they are relatively long sequences compared to most other sequences.

Maybe an extra once you beat the game, or maybe releasing a patch that throws a hidden item that opens that mode in the options menu or something to that effect. If that's too much then you could even go as far as too put in a new simple event sequence such as the Simon Says monster where you go through it again(maybe a little more challenging) and unlock the theater mode. There's many ways to do it; it all depends on what Alec and Derek think. *nudges*

I really don't want to have to fight some simon says type boss every time I want to see one of those movie clips, if thats what you mean. But yea you're right, there are many ways to do it and it's up to Alec and Derek.

Sorry, misunderstood, and yeah you're right, but beating a boss once to unlock such thing, much like the thing you get from beating Simon Sez Monster. I wouldn't mind doing that again.
Maybe someone will come with such a mod. I mean, custscenes ARE triggered by Nodes.
If that's how Aquaria works anyway.

I think a theatre option in the main menu would be best. As you see cutscenes they get put into the theatre and you can view them again as much and as often as you want. And of course only cutscenes you have seen in game can be viewed. So you have to find all the hidden memories and stuff first, you can't just watch them in theatre mode.

You guys are on the right track of what I meant, but i'll just re-clarify my meaning. I meant that after beating the Simon Says monster, a new theater mode would be unlocked where you now have unlimited access to any video. That is where I was going, but as I said, the possibilities are endless as to where and how to implement it. I'm sure that it would take some work but in the end, would be totally worth it and reward the player very nicely.
