honestly, i think this game would be more at home on the DS, the Wii just doesn't quite feel right for 2d adventure games to me

But I highly doubt the DS has a decent enough OpenGL implementation. You'd be better off with a PSP! :O

Aquaria DS would use a different engine / scenario. It wouldn't be a straight port.

Yeah, that's about the only thing that Aquaria could suck on.

I totally disagree, the analog stick isn't terrible at all. I would be cool having Aquaria on the PSP, but that would require a remake (port) too I guess.

It would be perfect for Xbox Live Arcade as well. The XNA program is specifically built for indies.

Yup, but Aquaria is played only with the mouse. If the Wii Remote can easily replace it with it's pointer, I guess a Joystick might kill the gameplay since the game wasn't made to be played with it.
I should think about something stupid to put in there...

The game is also playable with the keyboard only, keyboard + mouse and X360 Controller for Windows. The X360 controller works and feels great!

 :-\ Why another scenario?
I would understand that it changes somethning in the graphics, but in the scenario...

We'd like the DS version to have a different tone. So it might be a different story, slightly different gameplay, etc.

That is, if we even get a chance to make it. :)

The game is built around a Xbox 360 controller as well. I'd like to see this game on XBLA Alec. :) It's perfect for it.

I think a DS game would be perfect. Just imagine the touch screen movement. Are you serious about this?
Anyway, we'd get the chance to get two different games with the different scenario for DS, that'd be nice~
