translate aquarian

is it possible to make a mod when you right click text in aquarian text it shows the aquarian alt letters?  Like we make naija stop and read it so we know what it says?
if so does one exist?
if so and then not where would I start to try?

It does exist, look in the in-game mod downloader (my updates have that).

See here: http://www.bit-blot.com/forum/index.php?topic=4313.msg33020#msg33020

Yes, there is one in the game, but only in the version in that topic (see first post there). If you're using an official release (such as 1.1.1), of course it doesn't have that.

Alternatively, look out for gfx/aquarian.png and gfx/aquarian-alt.png. Rename the aquarian.png to something else and aquarian-alt.png to aquarian.png. After this, everything will be visible in bright readable letters.

thanks(much easier than me trying to make one)
is there anywhere to get it alone or do I need the rest
edit- nvrmnd
(bonus that you freed me from steam :))

edit-
ah, thats all it does?  I didn't mean just swap the file names, I meant (would it be possible and if so would it be hard for me to try and make as a noob) something I had to activate.

like swim around see aquarian script, stop and right click(as if Naija stopped to read) and have them switch to alt.   so script first and that specific one swaps to orange letters only until I right click again to leave or move away or whatever(like each line of runes would activate the way sitting on a rock does)

That would be difficult and require changes to all of the maps. Not going to happen.

A little more detail, the glyps on the wall are just tiles, and these cannot be scripted. It would be possible to replace these with nodes or entities and script those, but that would take quite some work. Better live with what you have now :)

The bright yellow letters are ugly though, it kind of ruins the atmosphere of the game.

As an alternative I've made a modified version of the original black-colored "aquarian.png", with English letters as small subscripts:

This thread provides yet another alternative, replacing the runes with ones that look similar to the original ones but at the same time also mimic their English counterparts:
