problem with playing my own mod
« on: June 06, 2012, 11:28:37 am »
hi every one. so i made a mod for a school project and because i made it on my iMac at home. but i needed to show my teachers the progress i made so i put aquaria on a usb and put it on my dad's laptop. i put the aquaria file that i found in my application support on the usb too because all the mod files are there. so the problem is when i start the mod on my dads computer all the tiles that i put on the map are gone. also all the settings of the map are default the tiles that i put in the game are gone and the entities list is default too. i put the aquaria folder in the application support folder and. it's just the same problem. also if i delete the aquaria folder from the application support folder and i start aquaria, there doesn't come a new aquaria folder so i can't edit the original aquaria. please help me, i know its illegal to put copy's of aquaria on other computers without paying but i don't have another choice . please help me as quick as possible, i need to finish this project in two days D: !

ps: sorry for my poor english i'm in a rush and english isn't my mothers thongue.

I did not understood problem fully, but as you confusing "because" with "that's why" and "tongue" with "language" it seems that you very well knows Russian :)
I don't know how Mac works... Install Aquaria on laptop, then move your mod files from your iMac "_mods" directory to same folder on laptop and all. It works?

If you want you can send me the mod and i'll look over it and fix if necessary. I'm hanging on IRC if you want to talk.

EDIT: I was involved in 2 mods lately and know what i'm doing. Also, which version are you using/want it to run on? There's a few things to pay attention to when making mods for newer versions.

Do you have skype/icq?

Or just come on IRC and we can talk there, is probably the fastest way.
I'd recommend not to use public upload sites, because you can never know who else downloads stuff from there...

EDIT: or teamspeak3 on n-sch.de in case you have that. I don't care, just listing all the IMs i have :P

EDIT2: Okay, mediafire or whatever would work too. But I still need a few details like which version you've been developing this for, etc. (see my edit in a prev post)
