No Poison Loaf? Crashing...broken help screen?

I've almost finished the game (best I've seen on iPad), but the main thing I'm worried about is that I can't get the Super Chef achievement because I can't get the Poison Loaf recipe. At one point I found a cache of eight Rotten Loafs, but I guess those aren't the same thing. As I understand it, the recipe has three varieties: Rotten Meat + Anything, Poison Soup + Anything, and Poison Loaf + Poison Loaf. The first two just never work; I always get Sea Loaf, despite using all kinds of configurations for the "Anything" part, both with two and three ingredients. Do I need to find the recipe somewhere first? Where (I don't care about spoilers for this)?

Also (I don't have iPad2), I notice crashes here and there periodically that sometimes cost me ten-fifteen minutes. It's not a problem if you're patient, but I get a very strong impression that reloading the software, hard resetting, and even reinstallation don't help. At one point a little message about a missing Lua script popped up...might've been in the Kelp Forest? Some kind of plant?

Lastly, at first I remember the help screen updating for the energy form song, but no more documentation updates after that. Was there supposed to be more?

You learn recipes automatically (like by experiment) or when you pickup the respective food the first time. Why it doesn't learn you the poison loaf recipe puzzles me, though. Did you try 2x Rotten Meat? Works for 1.1.3, at least.

About the crashes:

For those of you still experiencing crashes, your iPad may have some information that would help us figure out what's going on -- "crash reports" and "low memory logs". When you sync your iPad to your computer, these are copied into the following folder:

• Mac OS X -- <HOME_FOLDER>/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/<DEVICE_NAME>
  
• Windows XP -- C:\Documents and Settings\<USERNAME>\Application Data\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\<DEVICE_NAME>
  
• Windows Vista/7 -- C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice\<DEVICE_NAME>
  

Look in the folder for either of these things:

• Files whose names start with "Aquaria".
• Files whose names start with "LowMemory", followed by a date and time around when you had a crash.

Works for 1.1.3, at least.

This is one of the reasons I was so interested in bug-fixing in that other thread.  Using the Windows version, which "maxes out" at 1.1.1, there is one recipe called "Poison Loaf" and one called "Rotten Loaf."  They are the same item with the same graphic and the same -2 Health effect.  I picked up a single Poison Loaf somewhere in the game, but I only ever make Rotten Loaves when I try the recipe.

In other words, this was a mistake somebody made when putting together the items list: a name got changed partway through development but not everything was updated to match.  It would appear something similar is getting in the way of the achievement on the iPad.

2x Rotten Meat doesn't work. Not even on a much older save file where I first got the meat, without any "Rotten Loaf." Is there a difference between Rotten Loaf and Poison Loaf? They use the same graphic, whether or not there is. I just noticed there was an update to 1.0.1 yesterday. Installing the update hasn't helped the poison problem, but I can post my reports and logs from 1.0.0 later.

This sounds a bit similar to a "bug" in the PC version a while back. But my memory of those days is pretty spotty, so I'm not sure.
