Web site outage day after launch

Just curious what happened there, did Bit-Blot and the hosting service have different ideas on what was appropriate bandwidth usage?

The official word about the shared server we were on was that we "blew it out of the water." ;)

We're on a dedicated server now, so there shouldn't be any more downtime.  Our host was even nice enough to help us move the site, even though it's not their policy to do so.

LOL! Too much trafic that is! Seriously, to manage such a feat, Aquaria sure is a success! :D

I guess that could explain the forum slowness for a few days. After the server move, it seemed ok.

Regretably I actually sent an angry email to Bit-Blot because Id paid for Aquaria and then couldn't download it. An alternate link was provided almost immediately which had me blushing and wishing I could unsend my email ;)

I've sent several e-mails out to various indy game makers with compliments/comments (when they were very little known), questions(game problems/bad glitches), or... Can't remember the other one. Either way, they all replied by the next day and were way too kind, it's a nice change from the hotlines or websites like EA.
