Blowing bubbles (spoilers)
« on: December 12, 2007, 05:24:44 am »
In fish form,  your right-click action is to blow bubbles.

Do these have any purpose other than being a humorous distraction?  I've tried blowing bubbles at several enemies and none seem to react.

Thanks Zeno!

Seriously though, bubbles = useless as far as I know.  Hoping someone can prove me wrong though.

If you hit another fish in the mouth, it dies. :(

You can trap those light-giving harmless fish near the entrances to the Abyss in bubbles, but I can't figure out why.

Did you try binding them afterwards?

Why not, it worked in Megaman2.

I haven't got them to do anything, although I got the form rather recently.

Feel free to use this userbar at other forums, and show your support for Aquaria :)

The only use I've found so far is on the upside down jellyfish. If you trap them in bubbles they don't bounce you around.

Certain enemies are caught by the bubbles and you can bind them and drag them around if you so wish.

The only way to find out which ones is to experiment.

There's also one boss in particularly which is made MUCH easier through careful use of bubbles.

This...game...ROCKS!

Fish form poison is rather effective. You can only get it through the swamp cake I think.
