Windows: Supported Resolutions
« on: February 25, 2011, 11:05:29 am »
Hi there. I saw my friend playing Aquaria at his house earlier this week and I really liked the look and atmosphere of it. Before I buy it for myself, I was just wondering what widescreen resolutions are supported under Windows XP. My PC is hooked up to an LCD HDTV that is pretty picky with resolutions that it supports from the video card. The only widescreen resolution that it supports nicely is 1360x768. 720p and 1080p are not supported from the PC, neither are many other intermediate resolutions.

Could someone please provide details about Aquaria's widescreen modes?

Thanks.

Afaik Aquaria should support just about any resolution. If not through the automatic configuration, you can do it through the files.

If your PC does not natively support a resolution, you should be able to add a custom one to the video driver.

Btw, did anyone try 5:4 (1280x1024)? Works ok for me, but the lower 1/3 of the minimap is missing. Any idea?

My previous monitor was 1280*1024, worked just fine. No lacking minimap either.
