Whole Bunch of blackness~
« on: December 11, 2007, 04:59:45 pm »
So, being dumb I didn't try the demo before buying the game; anyways, nothing in the game actually shows up for me...  well almost.  Dialogs and menus show up if I happen to click the right place on the screen (like I can get the song menu, but the actual screen is all black except my curser)

Didn't see this problem on the forum anywheres, anyone have any hints for me?

Update video card drivers if possible. (couple threads about that)

Can also try running windowed / without vsync / etc to see if that makes a difference.

I am having this problem with the demo.  At first it was running extremely slow, but I had visuals.  Now I have updated my video card and the game seems to be running at normal speed (takes seconds and not minutes to load), but the screen is black.
When I start up the demo I get a white screen with white lines across it (but no logo), which then fades to black, then to white (with no seaside background), then to black again to what I believe is the splash screen.  I hear music, but screen is all black and cannot see cursor.  I set my settings to window-mode and lowest resolution and turned all the extras off, and still nothing.

System specs:
Windows XP Home
512 RAM
2.08 GHz AMD Athlon
Nvidia GeForce4 MX
