Personally, I think the whole XBLA and PSN thing should be stalled for at least another year. Till then, we can be pretty much sure that Aquaria has all its bugs worked out (imagine the time paradox bug in the XBLA version) and all "necessary" features in.
Also, by that time, PS3 will have gained MUCH in terms of popularity and PSN would be just as  good a choice as XBLA.
It also should be on the system that most easily supports Mods.

WiiWare is probably the worst choice, due to the limited space and Nintendo's refusal of releasing something like a HD. I mean, sure, you can swap all your stuff via SD-card, but do you really wanna fiddle with File Management each time you wanna play Aquaria? :P
Also, I doubt that the Wii would allow Mods at all. I mean Nintendo is so overly protective over everything that you probably won't ever be able to put some mod-data on your Wii.

I think it will be quite some time before there is even consideration of trying to get onto XBLA or PSN, but I think that wait would mainly be associated with the costs and bureaucracy that goes along with something like XBLA. As for mod support, I'm fairly sure it would be only Official mods that would be going up as downloadable content. I don't think average users will be able to upload content to something like Xbox Live anytime soon unfortunately.

That's why I'd actually prefer it most on PSN. There, you can just copypasta your mods on an USB stick, plug it into your PS3 and read the mods off it.

I don't have an Internet connection for my 360, but I would gladly buy Aquaria a second time if it was available on disc. It would look great on a full-size TV.

Especially on a 40+ inch LCD HDTV. ;)

I wonder, are there any news to this topic?

I own a Mac, and I really could by Aquaria for the Mac.... But I would LOVE to see Aquaria on my 47" inc LCD-Screen and furthermore play it with a GamePad instead of Keyboard/Mouse.

Please, please bringt this wonderful Game to Xbox Live...  it is perfect for this!

Regards
Oliver

The current systems that Aquaria is on is the PC, Mac and Linux(tho still in a beta form)
This post is over 2 years old, I think it's VERY unlikely to happen.
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

Yellow text, oh god my eyes.  :o

IMO, Aquaria would rock on a console. But there are lot more things that Alec n' Derek are doing that will also rock. So, maybe in due time, but due time won't be soon.

It should be possible to display it on your TV without porting the game, but it'd require some cables and maybe a card? I'm no expert, just know that it's possible.

I actually just got a Mini-DVI to S-Video adapter for my old Macbook, so I could play some older games on my junky TV. :)

Any standard video card bought within the last... erm... let's say two years will be more than capable of outputting to your LCD TV by means of a standard HDMI cable.  Furthermore, I think you should be able to map it to a gamepad anyway? (I dunno.. I've not really touched the options). "Worst" case scenario, pick up joy2key and use that.

Basically, what I'm trying to say is that everything you want implemented is (I'm certain) already possible without anything remotely complicated.

Thank you for your responses.

yes you are right... I have connected my iMac with my LCD already and this is okay so far... Problem is controlling by mouse and keyboard is not conveniant in this case..... I also own a Logitech Rumblepad on my Mac, but unfortunately this doesn't work with Auquaria , though it is recognized in Mac OS X.... Anyone with same problem maybe?

Usingg my Xbox Controller on the Mac... Hm. sounds good, haven't thought about that yet!

My Xbox Controller is a wireless one. I'll need an adapter like this I guess?
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Wireless-Gaming-Receiver-Windows-Pc/dp/B000HZFCT2/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1264834214&sr=8-7

Well Maybe I'll find a hint in the web if this will work on OS X. If this is the case, this would be my solution!
