stuck in demo after first boss

after beating the first boss, then fighting a giant seashell and getting a pet nautilus, i found a treasure to add to my home. now, i think i found an orb but can't find anywhere to put it. is the demo over?

Keep looking around.  The demo is almost over, but there's a place nearby to put the orb.  Check your world map!

Hello, I'm stuck at a very similar point. I would know where to put that orb, but didnt yet find it. Any hints which direction to search for? Is it in this big red flower? If so, how do I get it open?

How far does the demo go?  I got the demo, played up to the point where the ghost shows you the vision of the future and I swam to my home cave.  After that I immediately quit and went to the bit-blot website to purchase the full version.
