Aquaria Config crashes when clicking Launch

If you want to set the config manually, you can do it by opening the user settings XML file and changing them manually. Be careful, though.

Once you do that, try starting the game with the Aquaria shortcut instead of the Configure shortcut.

I get the window border of Aquaria (I set the fullscreen option to 0 in the config file) and then Windows XP freezes entirely.

I assume you mean I shouldn't launch it in windowed mode? I'm not asking Aquaria to do something it wasn't programmed to do, so that should work.

Does it work if you don't tell it to launch in windowed mode?

I notice that setting the resolution to 640*400 seems to crash the config, but I can manually set it from within the game.

Actually, Pieter should have just tried launching the config without changing any of the options and then run the game and see if it worked.

Nope, it's still crashing even if I don't touch the configuration file.

It's best if you just change everything inside the game (providing you can enter the game). Otherwise, there's always Notepad and Wordpad (open up the config file -- it's a regular XML, and is quite easy to understand).

I might make the ultimate config app sometime, but first I'll have to figure out how to embed the Aquaria banner and how to actually edit the XML (AutoIt3: I've tried this one XML wrapper, but it seems a bit complicated. Maybe I should read the documentations).
