Iirc Aquaria should run without problems on windows 7.

Try updating your video drivers, and if that doesn't work, run the game in compatibility mode.

I try to stay away from windows 7 because of the loads of things that are not compatible with it.
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

Sorry to hear that.  :(

The best place for this is in the Support forums, I believe there's a Windows 7 related discussion on-going. My guess is it has something to do with OpenGL / graphics card problems.

I just had this problem earlier on a computer using Vista, but was able to fix it. For some reason, everything was moving slowly even at the logo (so I would hear the "projector turning on" sound, then 6 seconds later hear the Bit-Blot theme)
Problem was fixed by letting Windows Update pick my video drivers, restarting, and reinstalling. After all that I'm not exactly sure what did it, but the game is running fine for me now.
