The end sequence...uh? (massive spoilers!)

massive spoilers - please do not read if you haven't completed Aquaria!

I got the full end sequence by finding all of Naija's lost memories. I don't understand the ending though. I got the main point of it all, boys falls in water after his world dies, spirit resurrects boy as a god, god creates mother, mother creates Naija, god goes mental, Naija kills god, the end. So what's with the man and the flying boat thing?  Is that a grown up Naija on the bed?  And then there's the Aquarian text right at the very end (just after "To Be Continued")....although I think it reads The End, not that I can read Aquarian language it's just logical that it says The End.

You got the full end sequence and that's all you got out of it?  There should be a few more key points before "the end" there.  Naija kills god, Mother mentally torments Naija, Mother traps Naija in crystal, other of Naija's species (possibly offspring) needs to go on new adventure, guy on boat remains a mystery, the end.

Delving into filenames reveals that the guy flying off to rescue Naija is Lucien, and that the sleeping woman is his gf.

So...Naija's son, all grown up, leaves his gf/wife to go looking for? Mum? Dad? What happened to Li? BTW Naija's mum is real bitch.

Well, there's no Li in the rest of the story, so presumably he has gone back to his home to figure things out things. (EVENTHOUGHNAIJAISINACAVE)
And maybe his son followed? Perhaps... seeing Naija's memories cut off, the missing Li (who most likely left for the floating isle) is the only source of information from that point onward?

Tis all possibilities, though I love speculating over them.

I kind of like an ambiguous ending, it gets you talking about it and mulling over your own theories.

Perhaps Li went off instantly to try to deal with the problem and left Lucien to fend for his mother. Then Lucien figured out how to use Naija's memories and after this decides to go off also.

But why would Li suddenly go to the floating island, while Naija's memory stay in the waters?

Because either a) Li doesn't know how to access the memories or 2) He wanted to go after Mia while the trail was still fresh
