Eh, my father once recieved a (large) package he bought on ebay that had been caught up in the postal system for more than 10 months after he got shipping conformation from the USA so it isn't THAT surprising...but I agree that relying on cheap post in future to countries outside your 'landmass' may not be wise
Don't worry about the Jewel case, I'll just go buy another one for like 20c
