Sacrifice - Stuck, need help

Hi All,

First, really fun mod, and It's great to be playing it on the updated Aquaria with widescreen support.

But I'm stuck - I haven't found the nature form, and I can't make it into The Abyss.  I've found all the areas except for The Abyss (and the door in the NE of the Veil, which I guess was an additional level that may or may not be put in).

PS When are we going to get a sequel to this awesome game!?  I mean, it worked out well for Half Life! XD

Nature form is obtained from the collectible vendor in Mithalas Cathedral but it isn't required to finish the game. The entrance to the abyss is in the southwest of Open Waters where the map gets pitch black. To get past this to the Abyss you will need the sun form which is given to you by Priestess Rajah in the same map after you have gone through corrupt Mithalas and spoken to Drask. The door in the NE Veil is indeed a cut level that may be added in the near future.

I went back through open waters (uppermost portion of map),  and I guess the entrance to the Abyss is South of the chomping mouths.  I went back to Mithalas and checked Open Waters again, but I didn't see priestess Rajah.  Where is she?

The uppermost portion of the world map with the chomping mouths is in the Icy Veil. Open Waters is the southeast portion on the world map. The Mithalas city, with the houses and access to the rest of Aquaria, contains a current to the southeast that must be passed with beast form (this is where OpenWaters is).

OK...

Now I'm in Nightmare (made it through the Abyss), and I'm stuck behind a barrier with a pearl, but no socket to put it in to remove the barrier?!

The holder is just to the left of the door itself. The pearl you need for the holder is up in the northeast.

I looked all over but there doesn't appear to be a holder.

It's a little fuzzy because Photobucket de-rezzed it, but the character and pearl are near the bottom of the screenshot.

Weird. There should be an energy door just up to the left where Elena is in that picture. I assume there were a lot of enemies when you initially started going through the map? There was an energy door problem fixed in one of the first patches but the door was still showing up. I just downloaded the file on ModDB again and the door was in the correct place. I'd try reloading the level and making sure you have the most recent version of the mod (check patch notes in Aquaria\_mods\rpg_PrequelCampaign)

I'd prefer to find the problem but feel free to move Elena past the barrier manually in the editor. Hit menu -> edit entities and then just drag Elena to the other side and continue on. I'm not sure what your problem is.

It appears to  be related to the nature form.   For some reason when you cast a spike near it, sometimes the socket disappears.  Level plays fine with the energy form (haven't put the pearl in the socket yet, but it's where it should be).

Yep, it's the nature form...  For some reason, it seems it's spikes erase the socket (or something, I didn't see it happen with all the enemies trying to kill me).  Weird glitch there, go figure.

Anyway,  I just finished the mod.  Nice job!  It was a real treat to get to play Aquaria again with new content.

That's really weird. I wonder if that happens in vanilla Aquaria as well. I'll take a look at it tomorrow.

I actually noticed, also, that you can use the nature spike to kill Gary the flower-tossing crab -- but his dialog node stays in play after he's dead...
