help i'm stuck on the first boss i can't defeat it i've been trying for 4 hours

i cannot defeat the boss that spits 3 levels of engergy.  you have to pick up an egg or stone (whatever it is) and put it in the frog mouth to shoot an energy beam up to the ceiling. I have been trying this for 4 hours straight and I CANNOT BEAT THE BOSS AND ADVANCE.   The boss will ONLY come to the energy blast TWO TIMES.  TWO TIMES.   After that he will NOT advance for further blasting.  I try shooting him after I blast him twice, but he won't die. he keeps spitting those three energy balls and i keep getting killed by them.. or he swats me. or he bites me. he will only let me blast him twice. it's as if he learns not to walk into the energy blast anymore. the damned thing LEARNS THAT'S SCARY.   

can someone tell me how to get past this pain?  what's the secret?  why does he only come into the beam twice and not walk into it again?  i know the beam is supposed to kill him. two blasts doesn't do it. and he won't walk up for a third. like i said it's as if he LEARNS NOT TO WALK NEAR ENOUGH TO THE FROG AND THE STONE IT IT'S MOUTH FOR ME TO BLAST HIM MORE THAN TWO TIMES.  I CAN'T KILL HIM. I CANNOT ADVANCE. THERE IS NOWHERE ELSE TO GO. EVERY OTHER WAY IS BLOCKED BY BEAMS OR FALLEN RUBBLE. I CAN'T EVEN GET BACK TO HOME EVERYTHING IS BLOCKED. IF I CAN'T GET SOME HELP OR ADVICE HOW TO BEAT THIS THING, I'VE WASTED 30 BUCKS. ARE THERE ANY GOD CHEATS?  IS THERE A GOD MODE?  I'M PLAYING THIS ON A MAC. THIS IS THE TOUGHEST BOSS I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED IN ANY GAME. 4 HOURS. 4 FREAKING HOURS. PLEASE, SOMEBODY HELP ME. I'M SO FRUSTRATED.

Yeah, that's the thing. After being hit two times by the laser, he learns not to advance beyond it... or does he?

As you already know, in order to activate the laser, you have to charge up a charged attack by holding the mouse button, and release it to hit the white pearl.  But... you can hold a charge as long as you like, it won't be released until you let go of the mouse button again.

So what you need to do to hit him a 3rd time, is charge up a charged attack, and then hold it, maneuver so the energy boss will try to grab you, dodge it,  and as soon as his arm or mouth is in the lasers reach, then release the charge.

I can really sympathize; it took me ages to kill that guy. SevenMass is right; the key is holding the charge with your finger and dancing around to tease him until he lunges for you. It's always better to figure out stuff on your own, but there's so much help and lots of hints on this forum, and I resorted to PMing people early on when I just couldn't figure it out and didn't want to have spoilers all over the forum. There's no point in driving yourself crazy when someone can help. It gets easier as you get the hang of it, but there will be more bosses to drive you crazy very soon! Enjoy.... right now I'm still working on the final form of the final boss; I'm almost there.

Interesting I made a Cheat Table using Cheat Engine for this game. So far, only infinite food I might add infinite health or others but then that would totally kill the game. I personally find this game beautiful and wonderful. Having a little extra food will help ease the difficulty a little bit. Of course it is controllable. Let me know if anyone wanna use it.

Hey, I've just killed this dude, and continued down the corridor, but now I don't know what to do next.  There's a room that I need to go inside, but it must be opened by putting another white pearl in the frog's mouth.  But I can't find a white pearl anywhere!  The only thing nearby is a red tulip-like flower that's closed.  It seems like there could be a pearl inside, but I need to get nature form to open the tulip?  How do I get nature form?  Any help would be awesome!

Keep in mind that Aquaria is quite nonlinear, and that you won't always be able to interact with everything as you encounter it.
Continue down the open passage, but just remember that place for when you do eventually get nature form. Use the map markers.
