New interview with Alec! (The Reticule)
« on: February 22, 2009, 08:55:06 pm »
New interview here!

Maybe we should have a thread for all interviews? :)

Anyway, it's a nice read about the IGF, indie games, game making and creation of unique games. :)

Nice find.  :) We should definitely set this as the interview thread (see subject), no?

Interesting! I hope Heroes and Villains makes it for the PC. I see what he means about game-designing (I've had a little experience in that area. I mostly used Marc Overmars' Gamemaker, but I also know a bit of Java and mess around with UBB) You have to really be interested in what you make, or it's just procrastination from there. Also, I know some people who want to make indie games don't take it very seriously, they just think that it doesn't have to be good because it's only indie. A good example of this would be YoYoGames, the GM website. Also, I love their description of Aquaria "An underwater adventure game where you adventure underwater."

Also, Chibi's right, starting an interview thread would be a great idea.

I would love to merge the other interview topics into this one, but I may only be able to post their links and topic-links in the first post. :-/

That seems acceptable.  ;) Let's hope Alec stickies this thread. BTW, the Check In/Check Out thread definitely deserves a sticky.

I feel FAMOUS. 8D

But yeah, awesome.
It's sad that it's pretty obvious that whole Bit-blot won't be active for quite some while. I still wish Alec AND Derek good luck though.
