Untill Steam foobar'd my stats, I had 45 hours logged on Aquaria, although a lot of that time was working on mod stuff. My playtime is around 20-25 hours.

Hmm,  I probably spent 5-10 hours doing a few playthroughs of the demo, and my first full-version playthrough took almost 25hrs.  I'm 2hrs into the next one.  Then there's several tens of hours in the editor and digging around in scripts.  I've probably also spent over an hour in the Tutorial and Guert Mods by now.

lol Thanks Chisti, but all is not quite as it seems honest, I really need this game. When my friend was dying and during her last few months I played another watery game that helped me forget it for a while and be sane for her when she needed me and this game is helping me again and I don't know how long I will need that help  :( This time it's my mother just being very old and infirm :(
So playing Aquaria helps me ignore my fits of the blues, in imersing myself in it I can almost forget them, and fighting a boss, well that is really cathartic :D

Sorry to hear that, but good to hear that Aquaria was able to take your mind off such an event.

Thank you Alpha  :-*  I really hope that you never have to go through watching a dear friend die like that :( But the game wasn't Aquaria, it wasn't around then, this was a kind of tiile game with a watery feel, you cleared blocks to gain fish for it? Anyone recognise it from this description?
I've found it, it's Big Kahuna Reef :D not really a patch on Aquaria but it did numb my mind so that I could sleep  ::)

I'm also sorry to hear that and also glad you found something to keep you sane during that time.  Games like this really do work wonders in destressing, though my experience there is mostly related to exam season.

My first playthrough was (runs off to check game).. lets see, 17:24, that was the first time I actually won. Although that was without finding most of the secrets, so basically what I did was reload right before the boss so I could do some other stuff. Right now I am only missing the odd treasure and my game time is 24:55. However, I should take into account my reloads, and since I most likely died at least once when facing each boss that would probably add about two hrs to my game-time. Also, It takes about 45 mins to beat the final boss and see the ending, and since I died right at the fifth form and had to start over more than once that probably adds three more hours. I also started another playthrough and am currently 52 mins in. So all together this adds up to about thirty-one hours. As for the forums, well... forums are forums. I don't think you should count the time you spend on here. However when I came here looking for help in the middle of the game I found what I needed fairly quickly. (Thanks guys!)

Thanks Particlese, time has worked to heal though I miss her still :)

I hate to add this Zoke but I think everyone has done a lot of dying at times, OP killed me quite a lot until I found his measure, and CP was also a bit of a strain lol

Hey, dieing is a natural part of adventure games, and life in general, actually. You end up dieing at least once in both cases anyway.

You can only die once in the real life, Zoko, but yeah...

Honestly, I'm happy I haven't had a death in a long while, but... let's get back on topic. >.>

I'm tempted to try another speed run... To better my time of about 2 hours, but there would be no way of actually taping it, seeing I don't like fraps and a 2 hour speed run... isn't that speedy. EVEN IF THE GAME IS SUPPOSED TO TAKE WAY LONGER.

Well, you could experience death more than once, anyway. (By that I mean the death of someone you knew)

:o  Holy cow, Aquaria in two hours?!  I don't think I could bring myself to go through that quickly, even if I knew how!  I've tried to speedrun Deus Ex since I've played it so many times, but I can never resist the urge to explore and mess around with the AI and throwable objects.

I have no intention of ever doing it fast let alone trying for 2 hours, I prefer the long immersion and experience :)

Pretty sure my save was around 30 hours or so first time.  I found most of the treasures and fun stuff, but not quite all.  Would probably put a bit more time into a 2nd playthrough, but I just haven't had the time yet.
