beast form?

I'm kinda lost here. I went and got nature form from the kelp forest by fighting mother nature but now I am in the mithalas temple and there's this ovoid spinning eye thing(he has like 6 eyes around his body) and I don't have beast form, and I don't know where to get it at all, and I don't how to beat this boss, and he isn't mentioned anywhere on the site! argh!

When you shot an eye it starts shooting a laser.  You have to circle round him shooting each eye until all 6 are activated at once.  After that a weak spot will be exposed and you just have to keep shooting that to kill them.

Beast form is unnecessary for that miniboss, in fact you acquire beast form at the end of Mithalas so there's no way you  can have it at that point as killing those minibosses is necessary to progress further.

And you need to kill them to clear the path to the main boss so you can get beast form Those spinning monsters are not that hard once you work out how to keep out of the way of the lasers while shooting their eyes and the tender spot.

Yeah, the bad news is there are three of those Laser eyes around.

On my fourth playthrough.  I prefer playing on an unpatched version because for practice b/c I'm thinking of running it sometime when I have no classes. It's doable in 1.0, I'll screenie some time

I didn't know how to defeat this one either. Good to see the "normal" way to do it here.   I stumbled upon a different solution by accident.
I lured the thing near the floor or edge, then shot a thistle under it using the nature form.  That did the trick!

Until I read this, I thought that was the way you were supposed to do it!  I've since found lots of stuff you can kill with the thistle.

It didn't take any health because I didn't have to shoot the thing.  It just followed me down toward the floor, then I scooted out and shot the thistle.  I think only one did it.  I never considered trying to shoot all the eyes into lasers at once.
