Game recorder
« on: January 22, 2009, 05:06:40 am »
I have been wanting to get a good Game Recorder, where you can hear the sound of the game and my voice.
I have tried Fraps, Wegame, and ZD soft game recorder.

I still have Fraps, but it only records my voice.
Trust me, I have tried everything, I changed everything too.
And I only noticed that if I only use my speakers, instead of headphones.
It records it, but I need a microphone (which I don't have) to also record my voice.

Wegame
wasn't that great. Well, it is, but the down side is that it only works on on games that Wegames supports.

ZD Soft game recorder,
kinda okay... close to not so well. Because, I needed to download a softwear which I already had.
So not much of use on that.

Does any one know any more?

Thank you! :)

How did you get Fraps to record your voice without a mic?

Oh, right.
Well, doesn't the mic work even when the speakers are on instead of the headphones? Or is it just that it's too weak to pick up sounds properly?

Some sound cards allow you to select "Mix" or something similar as the audio source. This will accept audio from all the audio sources available, which should pick up the microphone audio and the audio from the computer.

That sound interesting Robert, I wonder if my sound card is one of those?  but some how though I doubt it, it might be a bit too old like it's owner  ;D lol

Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together

Well, programs like Audacity can record from Stereo Out, so any sound you can hear (regardless of speaker or headphones) will be recorded.
Dunno about mic though; never got one.

Yeah, it should, but it's not picking it up for some reason.
I have tried raising the Volume, lowering it, on my headphones with mic.
I even found a microphone that worked fine, so I used it on my speakers ... But it didn't pick my voice when I recorded it.
Only the sound of the game was all you could hear.  :'(

I don't think I have that.  :'(

Well, I just wanted to know if any one knew more Games Recording programs.
But recording it separately is a good idea too.

I should try that.
