Help Needed: Test 1.1.2
« on: December 17, 2008, 08:47:20 pm »
For those with a Bit-Blot version of the game, I need a hand testing the 1.1.2 installer! Ideally on Vista, so we can make sure the new usersettings.xml stuff works.

Also the vsync/double buffer problem should be fixed!

Please PM or email me (zaphire@gmail.com) ASAP. Once this is tested I can get the Steam update going. :D

Hmmph. I doubt I will ever be able to test unless Bit Blot starts coming out with games only for Macs. I don't have windows :'(.

I'd love to test the patch - I'm having slowdown issues with Aquaria in a window (not too major) and I'd like to see if they can be rectified.

Wow nice man!  :) I wish I had a rig like that.

I'm afraid you won't be able to use your entire screen - Aquaria 1.1.1 only supports up to 1400x900 resolutions. You'll be able to play the game in full screen, but the graphics will be pixelated and/or blurry.

False. -Alec

[EDIT] Oh. Okay.  :( I am grievously mistaken. Sorry to have mislead anyone.

What are you talking about Chibi? I didn't say anything about resolution, and I happen to be running the game at native resolution (actual size dimension in pixels of the display). Oh, btw that happens to be at 1280x800 ... which is no where near my HD BenQ LCD monitor running at 1920x1080.

I'm playing on a 30" panel. Do these look blurry or pixelated to you ?  ;)

The game is probably limited to 1440x900 on your config because that's the highest resolution it can display. Otherwise, you probably messed up something  ;D

Back on topic : e-mail sent, I'd be glad to help.

Everything's peachy with the installer.  Works charmingly on XP through multiple installs/uninstalls, including over the top of an existing version of the program.  And then I sat and played for a half hour not meaning to because I forgot just how much fun it is to swim around aimlessly like an idiot.

Yeah - I spent about hours playing with the Ekkrit and trying to get him to push me into the Veil, singing along with the soundtrack, and otherwise eliciting odd glances from my sister (watching over my shoulder) ^-^

So... Aquaria's team members have parted ways and are working on other projects. Does that mean the testing and release of v1.1.2 may be compromised ?

Nope, we're still supporting Aquaria.

BTW Alec, do you still need testers? If so, I'd like to test the patch.

I'd love to test the patch - I'm having slowdown issues with Aquaria and I'd like to see if they can be rectified.
