Presidential Election!
« on: November 05, 2008, 06:43:23 am »
OBAMA WON!

I can't believe it's actually happened. The first black president!  :o

Thank God McCain didn't win: Palin is a menace!

Any thoughts? P.S: If you voted for McCain (and especially Palin  ;)) I respect your choice, but the men in white coats are in the padded cell to the right.

If you're wondering why nothing appears under Google, that means I scooped everyone! roflmpao (p for presidential)  ;)

OBAMA IS MY NEW BOSS, and I'm so glad it's not McCain, and so much happier that it's no longer Bush!!

I simply cannot believe that America was stupid enough to vote for Bush for his credentials alone: my theory is that he threw up smoke and mirrors, frightening America with horror stories of rampant radical terrorism. try to say that five times fast If only Al Gore had been elected ... *sighs*  :)

Anyway, the best man has won and the American people has come to their senses (I'm a mixture of European and American sensibilities)

Don't you remember the scandal about all the uncounted votes Chibi? He got in because someone very kindly lost an awful lot of votes that never got recast, and the votes were from a part of the country that would of voted against him... I certainly remember it and how suspicous it was >:(

Oh yeah... forgot about that for a moment. I don't think the race was that close though, if you're talking about the Bush/Kerry election. I think Kerry won the popular vote, but Bush won the so-called "superdelegate" votes. I confused the two elections.  :-[  :)

That close? I believe that they lost an awful lot of votes and if they had all been against him then he would of lost by enough to put someone else in the Whitehouse. Of course I might be wrong but that is how I recall it being reported on our tv?

Take my information with a grain of salt: I don't watch TV.  :) Yeah, it's true: everyone in my school career as looked at me in disbelief when I say that. My news comes from the New York Times, but the election was a long time ago.

Do many people not watch TV in England?

I don't watch TV either.  :D And in Germany you get suspicious looks of disbelief too.  :D

I did watch tv but I slowly went of it and I have not had a tv for 10 years now, but I can't say that I don't ever watch it because my parents often have it on when I visit them. But you don't need tv or papers to hear the news, I hear enough on the radio :) And I have a very good memory for some things especialy when they make me mad.. :)

I lost my temper only last week and I have a good idea that one man's ears are still ringing after I yelled down the phone at him, well what would you do if someone came and cut down a bush that you love and without any warning given  >:(

Yes, the men in white coats ARE in the padded cell because if they voted Obama they must be insane.

I'm not politically active.  And I am many times greatly annoyed by people who are.  There's such a ruckus every four years.  As a person who decides quite early, based on issues, platform, and pre-election opinions of the candidate, I am always harassed by idiots and fools trying to get me to change my mind.

Mind you, I'm not saying Obama supporters are fools, simply the ones trying to get me to change my vote were.  Foolish, naive, and sycophantic college students who could never once give me a satisfactory answer as to why I should care much less vote Obama.

The short answer is, Obama's tax plan will cost my family large sums of money and if they are still in effect 4 or 5 years from now when I'm trying to achieve a high salary they will affect me quite directly.

All in all, I just didn't think Obama had the command to be a leader or a commander.  He's a drinking buddy, but I resent thinking of him as my leader.  He's not the kind of guy I'm comfortable taking orders from.

Change is overrated.  I'm quite content how I am.  I'm all for small government, lower taxes, and generally being left the hell alone.  And with Obama's semi-socialist policy views I'm afraid I'll be bothered more than ever.
