Naija Cosplay at Anime Expo '08

I played Aquaria shortly after it came out and loved it.  I bought my friend a copy as a christmas gift, and he and his fiancee became big fans of the game as well.

She also likes making costumes for Anime Expo, you may have seen her Midna costume. (http://kotaku.com/373880/midna-cosplay-takes-the-cosplay-cake)

This year, she made a Naija costume to wear...and her fiancee made her a pretty awesome prop to carry, too.

That's more than a little scary.  But at the same time more than a little AWESOME.  You did everything perfect from the color to the song wheel.  I love it.  I've always had a thing for girls with oddly colored skin.

What a brilliant idea and the costume looks fantastic I bet if she had chosen the energy costume she would of really stopped them in their tracks though, perhaps next time?  lol

There were actually two (2) very excited people who knew she was from Aquaria.  There was too much of a constant flow of people taking pics to inform everyone about the game, but plenty of people who were amazed by the costume and prop did ask, and were told.

She also ended up giving three (3) video interviews, possibly more that I wasn't there for.  One may end up in a documentary about cosplay, and one was (if I heard correctly) for Anime Expo Latin America.

A damn sight better than those other pathetic costumes, but still it was Anime  Don't get me wrong I do like Anime, or perhaps some of it, but most is just pathetic jump on the same wagon stuff!

Heh, shows what you know.  Those costumes are actually pretty good there in the background (some of them anyway).  Besides, this has nothing to do with anime.  A good costume is a good costume and this is a good costume.  Glad at least a couple people knew about the subject material.  Spread the word!

That looks very awesome, the song wheel is a very nice addition and the costume is awesome. I find the Midna costume very amazing too. God I wish I could make stuff like that.

Oh I know and recognised the costumes, I just don't like the sappy girly girly stuff, it's a mater of taste on my part Glamador. I've never been one for too feminine and frothy stuff lol
