Demo halts my computer

Hi Alec & Derek,

I came about your game recently and instantly fell in love. As somebody who is working on his own game - I really appreciate what you have done. Just wonderful.

However I found that the Aquaria Demo crashes my computer predictably when entering the cave near (to the left) Naijas (is that her name ;-)) home. Naija will speech while gliding through the tunnel. Then the cave will be loaded, it will show up, but then after a few seconds my monitor will loose signal (!) and crash really hard (need to press the restart button).
I had a look at the debug log and found that while loading the cave several lua files are not found. You may have a look - you know that better ;-)

Btw. just tell me if that bug is in the full version also - so I might get around that error by buying ;-)

Hi!

This is the first time we've heard of this. Those lua "errors" are actually just warnings btw.

I'd recommend updating your audio and video drivers if you haven't already.

Hmm, okay I see - it seemed not very likely to me that you "forgot" to include some files ;-)

But again, the error is really special to that place - changing other locations worked just fine.
My card is a Geforce 6800 128MB with up to date drivers.
I wouldn´t trust that card completely because it has a crappy modification, some youngster sold it
as  "new" to me on e-bay, but that´s another story.  I never had problems with it up to now - I run 3D applications
on a regular basis.
 
Do you use any special effects in that place ?

This looks like a hard to solve problem... which upsets me a little - looks like I won´t get a chance
to play the game.
