Ambrosia Software handles the Mac version (For the most part), and the Mac Demo can be found at their site :)

It's called com.bit-blot.aquaria.xml on the Mac, and it's located at ~/Library/Preferences/com.bit-blot.aquaria.xml, where ~ represents your Home folder (The one you can get by clicking on Finder in the Dock and hitting Command - Shift - H).

Modding / Re: How Install Mods
« on: September 08, 2009, 12:05:22 am »
Yeah, ideally mods would come in their own file format, .aqmod or something, and you could just double click to install, but as it is you have to move the .xml file and it's accompanying folder into /Users/YOURNAMEHERE/Library/Application Support/Aquaria/_mods.

Huh, I didn't know that it was possible to use energy form to kill him. How long does that take?

In the final form of the Creator, where you have to shoot the face that hides in the chestmouth?  It's about the same, the face just needs to be hit, it doesn't matter how much damage it takes.  At least, that's how it's always seemed to me.

The chestface is a lot easier in Energy Form.  You can just lock onto it and spam Energy bullets when the screen starts to darken.  Hover about a screen's length away, and just over where the beam shoots out, you'll get it eventually.

You right click on them.  Right click is interact, so whenever you come across something new, try right clicking on it.  If it's interactive, the cursor will change to a pulsating circle when you mouse over it.

Ah, ok, if you've already found Li then I don't think it does anything.  The idea is probably that you'll find the sub before you'll find Li, so finding his sub would give you a map marker to show you where you should go next.

In this case it's not a new world so much as it is a "Go here" indicator.  So head on over there and see what you can find.

You'll get that a fair bit in the later.  You should be able to figure it out when you have it, just keep playing.  You won't be able to get it in the Demo, if you haven't bought the game.

True, it isn't required to beat the game.  But if you explore carefully and pay attention to both the minimap and the world map, you should find it.

Yep, you'll get it later on.  It should be easy enough to recognize when you have it.

Holding escape doesn't skip them, but it does make them shorter.  On the mac version, if you want to make this the default behavior, you can edit the file at YOURHOMEFOLDER/Library/Preferences/com.bit-blot.aquaria.xml and change <ShortLogos on="0" /> to  <ShortLogos on="1" />.

Basically you sing along with him very quickly.  He sings, say, note 1, you sing note one.  Then he'll sing, say, note 1, note 5.  You sing 1, 5. So on.  I think the song goes up to eight notes, but I'm more or less entirely unsure about that.  You need to be very quick, because Simon (as in says, that's the nickname for this boss) has a very short attention span/patience.

Also, welcome to the forums!

Re: The second, as Danger Mouse says, you can move through rocks if they are bound.

I can confirm the crash, though.  After repeatedly pressing the Q key while on the recipe screen of the menu,  the game closes with no error message or crash dialog.  OS X 10.5.6, Aquaria 1.1.0.
