Support / Where is the Linux version?
« on: May 12, 2010, 04:29:30 pm »
Hi,

Since the beta expired, I have been returning every now and then to see if the Linux version is available for purchase, only to find it is not. When can we expect to see it up there?

Actually, the question is a bit outdated by now, since I have bought it via the Humbe Indie Bundle, which means two things:
- the game is apparently done, so why isn't it on the Bit Blot page?
- it's quite a few bucks minus for you guys :)

Hey guys, what's up with the Linux port? The beta was already quite playable, I figured it would have been finished by now. Most of the bugs we reported were about case differences in the file names, not something that requires an extensive amount of work. Please give us a hint when we can expect to return to Aquaria! :)

Support / Some problems under Ubuntu Jaunty (Linux beta)
« on: December 25, 2009, 04:58:31 pm »
Hi,

I've downloaded the Linux version, it's really nice! I have run into some glitches though, mostly audio-related. I am using pulseaudio, so that may be part of the problem...

1. Sometimes the game audio would mess up. Sound becomes choppy first, then stops. The game cannot be stopped, must be kill -9-ed. After that, no audio for other apps either, until pulseaudio is killed. This may well be a pulseaudio problem (on app should not be able to maim the server), but I include it here "so that you know".
2. After defeating Mithala, the battle music doesn't stop! It is playing constantly until you quit the game. It's loud too, so I could barely hear the story-bit right after, and it would continue even while the normal in-game music is playing.
3. After the Mithala battle, when Naija recaps what happened, there's a graphical glitch: when the priests (I guess) do something in front of the big window, I can't see their figures, only black rectangles.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1420, Intel 945GM w/ Ubuntu Jaunty.
