On the map I downloaded the glowing plant is clearly marked already.  Near the right side of 'Abyss 1'.

This...game...ROCKS!

I've been lurking this forum for a few days.  I came here because of the Humble Indie Bundle - and now I am obsessed with this game.  LOL  I came to find out strategies to kill the end boss in Milithril City, and the boss tips guide helped.   Thank you forum contributors.

I'd like to give back.  :)
Well, the video's finally done, but the quality is unbelievably low compared to the recording I made.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5vB2_lGp6g0

If ANYONE knows how to convert a 3,33GB FRAPS file into a good quality Youtube video, please tell me.

Youtube, while being accessible to the largest audience, is horrible for this kind of thing.    http://www.gameanyone.com/PC/Aquaria.html is much better for complete videos of games.   If you had a speed run, I'd recommend http://speeddemosarchive.com/.  You don't, but somebody may find the information useful and/or upload their attempt.

For converting video formats, a process known as transcoding (useful as a search term), I have found VLC Media Player http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ to be the best combination of free, easy to use, and performs beyond expectations.  If you can play your recorded video in VLC, it can be saved to a different format.  Find the Streaming/Export option in the menus and go from there.  I'd recommend saving the final video as H.264 encoding in the .mp4 container.  That way, you can make chapter stops and even add your own captions if you so desire.

I've not converted a FRAPS capture myself, so hopefully this works for you.   If not, there are other free programs that will work, but they are not as easy to use.

It is a great site for personal use, I never said otherwise, just a fail for not having something as simple as direct linking for free.
And seeing there are loads of free hosting sites, I might as well go for the best one.
WHFF was great and I bet/hope there are sites alike.

Drop.io is a fabulous site for free file sharing, and the uploads don't expire for up to 1 year after the last time it was viewed.  I don't know if there's any hidden issues, but I've never run into any problems.

BTW, I also got Aquaria via the Humble Bundle, and I too am now obsessed with it.  What a fabulous game!

I already have Dropbox now, it's an amazing site where you just put things in a folder on your comp and it gets automatically updated and uploaded, you have private folders and public folders, amazing place, beats any free hosting site with ease.
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

The only problem with Dropbox is if you actually use it for syncing, large files in your public folder can drive you crazy with the sync times. xD
And the space limits. Have too many files and you won't have enough room for your own usage anymore. ._.
I also hate the disorganized mess my Public folder can become, so I avoid using it as much as possible, because once I put something in there, I can't exactly remove (or even move) it without raising questions, and I'm always trying to organize everything as much as possible. :(
Some people say I have OCD. xD

That's why I have a hierarchy, ever since I've been lost in my files so many times before and lost everything on my comp I started putting everything in their respected unique folder, except for temporary files.

Also I think 8gig is more than enough for some mods and even movie files.

Finally, syncing times may be long, but would it be any longer if you'd use a crap hosting site like megaupload? I think not, so everything you say is either already at it's best or can easily be avoided.

It's a great site, people should know about it.

Didn't appreciate mister Wizarduss newbie suddenly advertising his, but eh, what can a man do.

hey. I've almost finished the game, but have been wandering around looking for hidden stuff. I think I've got everything except....

On the mini-map, each portal to another area has a white circle that glows on the edge. I've found two that I can't get to. One is on the East side of the Veil 1, and the other is on the south side of the Veil 3.  In the overview, there's a space where another map could be, but I haven't seen it listed anywhere.

what's going on? Easter Egg? do I need noclip?

I'm entirely unsure of what you're talking about but I can assure you that every place, no matter how high or deep or anything is accessible without cheats.

And Succubus, I really don't have 8 gigs yet. I wanna bet you have more than me even.

I see the the one below the Sun Temple in the Veil, but I don't know how it might be reached (if it can be--I suspect not). The other one, on the east side of the first Veil zone... I'm not sure what you're referring to there, as the only exit that seems to fit your description is a Kelp Forest entrance.

I'd say that it's intriguing, but probably just a glitch. My curiosity and bewilderment were equally piqued when I noticed that there appeared to be an unreachable save point somewhere just below the Sun Gear treasure in Naija's home, but it seems to be just that--unreachable.

[EDIT] Also, welcome! Pretty rad game, huh? Have you deciphered the carved symbols on the walls yet?
