Any other way to beat him other than using his bombs?

Cause, I can't do it.
Grabbing a bomb, switching to nature form, knocking him off, dropping the bomb, and getting out of the way... it's impossible for me. I'm using the hotkeys and all... but there's no way I can react that fast.

Usually I grab a bomb, and it blows up before I can manage to knock him off.
How do you grab one, instantly charge up to knock him off, manage to jump in just the perfect angle to get the shot where you need it, and drop the bomb all at the same time?

Too late for me, but you can delete the thread and create it again with a new topic I think.  Or just ask a mod.

You don't need to leave the bubble to knock him off his perch, btw. Just swim near the top of the bubble, bind a bomb, switch to nature form, fire a seed from where you are, then get the hell out of the way and just swim around until the bomb explodes. Repeat three times!

I'm also running out of healing items.

Other than that ESC glitch, there aren't any cheats or anything to get more food?

If the battle has gone on that long and you're running out of food I would suggest just putting yourself out of your misery and starting again, now that you have a better handle on what to do.  After all, you only need to hit him 3 times, it's not exactly a long fight.

Yeah, well, I've not been able to hit him once yet. :p

Then you're doing something wrong. If you're using keyboard shortcuts, AND you know how to fight him, and you can't even hit him once, you're doing something wrong.

1) Start in song form.
2) Hover around the middle of the bubble. When he fires his bombs..
3) Dodge them then quickly fire off a bind song.
4) Hit the nature form hotkey.
5) Hold right click and swim up to the top of the bubble.
6) Fire the right click straight up.
7) Dart out of the way but not so much that you fly out of the bubble.
Swim around his head until the bomb behind you explodes. If you keep moving, you won't get hit by the blast.
9) Switch back to song form.

If you still can't do it, I don't know what to say, sorry :/.

You know that the tadpoles in a bubble on his lower left side clung to you when you are in their bubble and sing? They stay with you until you leave the map or change to Fish form and they regenerate you all the time until then.

Yea that made the fight much easier for me.  I didn't even realize I had done it until halfway through the fight and I was at almost full health after getting hit 2 or 3 times.  Then I was like...I'm healing from something...SWEET!

I cheated.

I used the cooking glitch to make myself a crapload of food.
The invincibility food helps wonders. Make up for lack of skill with cheating. :p

I could just knock him down, and grab one of the bombs he'd already dropped (which are seconds from exploding) and just drag them to his head. LOL!

You don't necessarily need to bind his bombs to hurt him as he has a weak spot on top that you can exploit by planting some accurately placed seeds. It's kind of hard to do it at first since his weak spot is pretty narrow, but after a few times you'll know where to aim. Only took me three times of stabbing him with the seeds.
