Hi,

It's true that I am responsible for majority of Aquaria article on wikipedia. But i have written it to help aquaria to be more popular. Wikipedia is after all a spoiler site by definition. It sure wasn't my intent to spoil the gameplay for anyone, but as you pointed out,  the 'spoiler' thing may be not so evident to people who doesnt know wikipedia.  I haven't been thinking about this issue in that way, so i'm sorry if my effort will do more bad than good :( Maybe i should have waited with the forms descriptions at least...

I hope you know I'm not trying to demonize you in any way. More than anything, Aquaria needs exposure, and a Wikipedia article is a great way to get it. You're doing the game a service by taking initiative and putting together an article for it.

What I wish Wikipedia had done was make it so that you can enclose spoilers in a special tag, and then have a setting in user profiles that allow you to hide that information. By default, it would show, but if you're the type that doesn't like spoilers, you can set yourself up to hide them.

RobertWalker: That is actually a very good idea, the spoiler tag is something that was usefull mainly for people not aware of wikipedia policy as for people who wants to read something without being afraid of spoiling things (but on the other hand I can understand the motivation behind removing it, because there is no spoiler tag in 'real paper' encyclopedia either). When i was writing the article, i was surprised that the spoiler tag was removed. I was trying to write it so the first part contains only brief overview with informations already available in teasers and previews. And many thanks to you and other people for contributing to article and fixing my poor grammar :)

IceD: Rewriting is a way to solve the problem, but I dont't have so much time now (the exams at school), nor have very good skills in writing in english language. But wikipedia is open and i would like to invite you to discuss the article on its discussion page, and suggest different ways to alter the spoilerish nature of it.  Some people tries to delete content from the article, but so large changes are used to be made after discussion and/or voting, and will be reverted back to original state by any wikipedian if not properly explained.

The problem with putting Aquaria on Wikipedia is that the whole game revolves around both gameplay and plot. If you spoil the plot, people will only play for gameplay. It's sad everything was put on wikipedia (I think, I didn't read it as I haven't finished the game), especially because Aquaria is a plot-game.

Just my 2 cents.
Just when we thought we've seen everything...

I don't care if there are no spoiler tags in a "real encyclopedia" because that's exactly the point of this being an ONLINE encyclopedia.  Computers offer us things that books don't and spoiler tags, links, and enlarged pictures are but a few of them.  The spoiler tag served a very important purpose and its removal is only harmful to the integrity of Wikipedia as a resource.
