
It's really quite good! Extremely tough (as it should be), but I'm playing a little every day and finding that I can get a bit further each time. I really look forward to playing each time.
And they use the dual-screen setup in some clever ways... letting you grapple between the screens and fighting bosses that extend up very high vertically. It's a good use of the DS hardware that's not gimmicky!
Plus the graphics and music are pretty damn sweet.

I don't know if I'd necessarily call it a mind-blowing experience, and it took a while for my hands to get used to the DS's controls... but it definitely gets "good ol' fashioned fun" down
perfectly. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys Contra or retro run n' guns in general.
