Sun Temple Boss Frustration

I've looked around the forum for hours, trying to figure out different tactics of beating him. I have Bind/Shield/Li/Energy/Beast. I saw on one thread about an exploit where if you stick to the door that comes down he cannot touch you by merely swimming (I'm not proud of myself). That doesn't seem to work though because of a possible fix, or maybe I'm doing it wrong. Either way, I'm having too much trouble with him just to beat him the normal way. Any pointers? Anything to do with the door?

If you have read those threads, I'm sure you would have heard nature form bieng mentioned. While it's probably not required to get to the sun god boss's room, it certainly makes getting there less painful.

My only advice for you would be to try various tactics, and some of them mentioned earlier uses nature form. There isn't really a single best method for beating him since there are many ways that work well. It just depends on what you feel like is working for you.

The boss for nature form is not very hard IMO, just make sure you don't stay too close to the center and get yourself trapped by those thornworms.

Erm, sorry for this but I'm having a hard tim figuring out where to get the nature form. Sorry, this game is amazing but I've always had trouble with "open" games.

you get the natureform in the kelp forest area. Go there and see what areas you havent discovered yet..

I beat it without nature form
eat some food to get web ability and slow it,jump out of the water ,be careful not jump to the top,firing with circle
(leaf + meat,then + spider egg )
I don't remember the  food's name

Or if you want to be cheap, cling to the floor right by the entrance door and fire up in energy form with homing turned on in options. the blasts will fire over the little hill and hit the worm, but he wont be able to charge/suck/blow you away. youll still get hit by a few energy balls, so bring food.

To be honest, this was probably the fastest boss fight for me.
With the boss being so hectic and quick, i threw strategy out the window and just when on an all out rampage.
Beef up on perogi (roll + oil +egg) (add a mushroom afterwards if you've got some, rainbow work too), toss in some spicy rolls , set your pet to the blaster and let Li do what damage he can. I swam in circles around the boss, with the occasional minor heal + attack/defense boost and in a few seconds of rapid right clicking in energy mode, it was all over.
Normally i'm all about strategy but in this case, just boost your stats and unleash

Thats worked for me as well. I had my parana take care of the first part of the bosses life till he started freaking out. I just stayed in my beast form and tried to keep the most of my life.  Then when he went to the other mode i boosted my energy form shots and blasted him till death. Trying to avoid his shots as much as possible of course.

I guess this is where the lesser known ability of spirit form could make the boss really easy!

I didn't do it that way though (not knowing about it at the time), I just boosted my energy shot and blasted him madly with a few heals as others have described.

Could you maybe be a little more specific about this "lesser known power" because now I'm curious.  Do your pets still attack in spirit form or something?

no because time is frozen, so if your pets are attacking something, they will be frozen until you get out of spirit form.

If you right click yourself near a projectile in spirit form you will destroy it, and for every 5 (I think) you get some health back.

Makes this boss real easy if you use number-switching.

Yea I figured out that power when I was attemping (pitifully) to see if that form could damage the final boss.  Stupid puzzle-bosses....anyhoo, that's a neat power but do you get health back for 5 in a row?  Or can you switch out after eating 2 then only need to eat 3 later?  B/c that doesn't seem that useful against him since the attack I didn't like was the sucking, not the stuff he fired at me.
