moving aquaria window.
« on: July 08, 2010, 10:24:28 pm »
I really love this game and I really want to move where the window is placed on the screen, but it seems to be impossible. I just want it to be slightly to the right side of my monitor so I can read something as I play the game without having to tab over every time I need to read it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do?

Have another window open before you start Aquaria, and then Alt-Tab to the other window. Unmaximize the window (if it is maximized) so that you could see Aquaria's window. Then without going into Aquaria's window frame (the part that you see the game graphics from), drag the title bar to where you want the window to be. It can be tricky sometimes, but they don't have a mouse release key (hint hint, for the open-source developers).

Ahh, thanks. That worked like a charm. Yeah, I used to play another game that didn't have a mouse release, so someone had made a .dll or something called Mousefree. Maybe someone will come up with one for Aquaria.

It'd have to be more selective, though, of course, because the mouse should still be constrained when a mouse button is held down. ^^
