OS X Xbox360 controller problem
« on: May 06, 2010, 05:37:59 am »
I have seen topics about the 360 controller already but I am on mac and my problem seems to be different than the other posters. I am using a wired 360 controller (tested with other games) and it does work. However when I go to configure the keys, only about half the buttons respond to inputs. The triggers don't work, either do the X, Y and B buttons. Oddly enough the A button does work and so do the shoulder buttons. It's really strange.

Any tips?

Alex:

I had the exact same problem on my computer as well.  Being a bit of a programmer, I decided to look into the source code for the Xbox 360 controller drivers for the Mac and discovered that it's a combination of weirdness about the 360 controller and how the Mac port of Aquaria is implemented.

As a result of my frustration, I decided to fix the Xbox 360 controller drivers.  You can download my modifications from my website:

You... rewrote the drivers? o.O

Color ME impressed, anyway.
