Problem with plimus?
« on: March 17, 2010, 11:35:51 pm »
13 days ago I bought Aquaria, including the CD version. I received an URL for downloading the game, which I visited to make sure it worked, and was told it would take an estimated 1 and 7 days for the CD to arrive at my location. Then went to sleep because it was late here.

In the next day, I tried to download the game from the URL but was told it had "expired". I sent an e-mail to the Bit Blot admin address that was provided during the purchase (admin@bit-blot.com) No reply. A few days later, I e-mail again; Again no reply.

The CD did not arrive yet. The order is marked as 'shipped' (since March 4) in the Plimus order summary URL I received.

I'm getting a little worried and disappointed about all this. What should I do? Should I escalate the issue with Plimus? Wait longer? Is USPS this slow? Can the game be held in customs? Did anyone else have any problem like this one?

The download link expires in 24 hours to discourage people from sending it to their friends (and robbing the developers). Alec (one of the devs) doesn't check that email address because it's clogged with spam. zaphire(at)gmail.com is a better choice. A word to the wise: don't post email addresses in the usual format. We're having a bad infestation of spambots.

Just email Alec with your registration number, the last four digits of your credit card number, and your name. And please change the subject of your thread to mine. Alec's only one guy, and he has a lot on his plate. If you can't wait, look for an automated reply system on Plimus - another forum member had some success with that.

On a lighter note, welcome to the forums!   :)

Chibi pretty much said everything, all I can say is don't worry. It might take some time, but you'll get everything!
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

Yes I did.

And like Chibi said, you should change your topic title to something less alarming. Honestly, c'mon.

Okay, okay... Thanks for the answers. What I'd really like is my CD, but I guess I'll wait another week or two before complaining. My internet connection at this time (unlike when I ordered) is not in very good condition and I would rather not have to download anything very large...

I'm very sorry to disappoint you but afaik the CD is nothing special, it's just the download burned into a CD. :(
