SPOILER

To kill the giant crab you have to hit his eyes first(both eyes)  and then destroy his arms.Once you have destroyed his arms use nature form charged attack in the weak point between his legs.

If you have nature form you can also plant a briar (charged attack) there so he walks over it and gets hit by it.
God sees and knows everything, but at least he won't gossip about it.

Based on his 'frozen veil' statement, I assume he's talking about the Mantis Shrimp, actually.

Yeah, that sounds like the crab in the Arnassi Ruins; those directions were what I used for him (spam the eyes, he opens the arms and you can see the red elbow blobs, etc.). I would also be very interested in how to kill the crabby guy (that's a shrimp?) in the Bubble Cave in the frozen veil. I got in there last night and got my ass kicked. Thought I remembered you are supposed to bind one of the red energy bursts and tried that but died horribly more than once. It's really tough jumping from bubble to bubble trying to duck while he sits there calmly and shoots you. Nasty bugger. Love the Frozen Veil, though... the softly drifting snow, the otters and the dolphins, the yummy ice cream... Its going to be 90 this weekend (going to Portland); I'll bring my laptop and play there, maybe figure out how to get that golden ice cream. I'm regularly getting killed on several fronts (Octomun, Jellyfish God) and it's getting a little depressing. Anyway I'm very interested in any advice on this really nasty shrimp/crab entity.

Cute graphics, Align. I haven't seen him move much yet; just spam me with big red shots while I tried to bind them without dying. It was late and night and I was excited to get into the bubble cave in the first place and explore all the bubbles. I'll let you know how it goes. Is there any help with spirit form? Aren't you supposed to be able to absorb shots that way? Does he leap into your bubble?

For the moving, throw a briar up his nose and he'll fall into the bubble (and after a few seconds remove the briar and levitate back to the ceiling. Magic!). For the shots, use jellyfish armor and turn on shield before getting close to any of the shots, and get really good at the timing needed. It takes a while, but at least you shouldn't die with the jellybroken armor.
I didn't know spirit form could absorb shots when I fought him, so I didn't try that, but I'd guess that only the fragments of the shots can be absorbed.

Oops, no jelly armor; working on that mini-boss too. How do you remove a briar? I thought they just retracted after a few seconds. Can you launch a briar from a bubble as a base? Can't seem to bind the red shots; they explode when I try. There's something on one of the walkthroughs, Death Jester's I think, about the two uses of spirit form, one being to absorb energy shots, but I forget what you do after that.

I usually try nature form whenever I think of it; I used it to get past the clogged fat mutants on the way to Mithalas; never occured to me to bind each one (tedious), being a bit Xena in temperament.... But my Xena nature is no help with this crab boss (he doesn't look like a shrimp to me). He just keeps kicking my ass. Maybe I should get the jelly armor first, but the jelly boss keeps kicking my ass too. Sheesh! As does the Octopus boss. Not a good week..... Thanks of all the help, I'll keep plugging away. Anyway I have three new treasures and four new recipes, and I do love this game.

You can destroy briars as if they were enemies with energy form or so, but what I meant is that the boss removes them. With his mind!
More exactly, he hangs in the bubble a set number of seconds, and if you throw any other briars onto the ceiling while he's there, those'll get removed at the same time as the one that knocked him down, even though they normally last rather longer than that.

The cymbal-looking things are what you have to bind, but be careful not to run into them as they explode on contact.

There are also some of them thar regeneration leeches in one of the leftmost bubbles, which should help if you don't have the jelly armor.

I can't seem to stay in the bubble with the tadpoles long enough to get one to attach (it happened once); it's a tough bubble to stay in and most of the time when I get there the tadpoles have disappeared, as if I splashed them into oblivion. Got the jelly armor, though. Still getting creamed. Managed to bind one of the red things briefly... this will apparently take me awhile. But if it were too easy, it would be no fun, right?

You sing the colour of the eyes of the tadpoles to attract them.

Yeah, I know about the eye color thing, but it does no good if they have disappeared. I can't get inside the bubble and stay there long enough to get them to attach. However, since I now have jelly armor, maybe that will do a similar thing?

Sort of, it heals you up to half of your maximum health, so if you've got enough health upgrades and can stay out of the line of fire for a few seconds, you wont need to chew on healing food.
That is, as long as you have it equipped..
