Last form of the endboss got me. But up to that point I think I did it alone. ;)

I asked for help with Octopus Prime and the last boss's final form, and I cheated with the recipies but I wish now that I hadn't :(

Yes, apart from finding the weird fish (I accidentally ran into a hint about where they were, although my treasure-hunting search pattern might have turned them up anyway- it certainly turned up a few things that I suspect even Alec has forgotten about), and the last treasure, for which I used the Treasure Hunter's Map (I'm not sure what happened there- I'd scoured the area three or four times, and my search should have found that hidden passage).  Oh, and I used a distinctly non-standard method of beating Octopus Prime, one that probably shouldn't be possible.

On the other hand, it took me twenty hours to reach the final boss, and an additional ten to find the last handful of treasures...

Not this seed-thingy in the Abyss? Because that sound a lot like how I felt when discovering it with the Treasure Hunter's Map. ;)

I had to check with Mithalis boss and final boss, but tried to get just enough clues to steer me in the right direction. with treasures I think that I had got them all except the starfish below the Veil, totally missed that in the combat fray there, well placed  >:(  I missed a whole bunch of the complicated recipies which I looked at when I finished. short answer, no  :)
Ellie: Are they from the future too?
Sawyer: You told her?

No, the one I missed was the Sun Key.  Seriously, my search pattern was "swim next to every wall, checking to see if anything shows up on the minimap that I can't see on-screen".  I don't know how I missed it...

If we're going into recipes, I did miss a few of those until I broke open the data files, mainly the obscure soups and ice creams.  I also didn't even know that the Coward existed until I saw a thread about it here.

Finish? Yes, I was quite able in about 12 hours start to finish (a few extra treasures not included).
King Jelly messed me up a few times before I got the hang of him, Rock Crab made me laugh he was so easy, Boom Shrimp took me a little while to figure out, and I killed the last boss first attempt with Jelly Costume on and some arcane poultices. The first part of the last phase took me a few minutes to figure out - then it was all downhill.

There were a few treasures I happened to glance at the location of then facepalm too... but nothing so "oh wow how do I possibly do that?"

Also, I killed the coward entirely by accident while shooting at some fleeing black fish thingy after killing the mama fish. woopwoop! ;D

After admiting to cheating I would just like to add that I found the strange fish myself with no help at all, but I did waste a few minutes trying to make them do something until it slowly dawned on me that they might be an Easter egg lol

As mentioned, I beat the game without help until the last form of the endboss, but I didn't get all the ingame.-secrets alone. I missed the strange fish for example.

It was great playing the game in the beginning of last December. All the people in the forum/irc-channel were about at the same place/part in the game and tried figuring out stuff together.

C: "Same here..."
Alec: "you're barking of the wrong tree. Plus, he is flashing yellow which means he doesn't get hurt."
All: "Duh!"  :D

I haven't asked or looked for help, and I'm still at the end boss, but I've managed to get all the memories without even knowing how many there were to have to go back to find them. I'm still missing some of the life expanding eggs though. So I still haven't seen the ending. I'm actually bummed that there's two endings and that I won't see the one with missing memories... or am I under the wrong impression that they are different... perhaps the one with all the memories is just extended? Not really sure... guess I don't really want to know until I actually see it anyways though.

There is nothing lost by attaining all three memories except a message saying something like "You should explore Aquaria more thoroughly."   :)
