Hi, this issue has been solved. A fix isn't out yet, but you can fix it yourself.
I assume you're running Windows Vista. (if not, let me know!)
You can either install the game to another directory (not program files)
or you can find where Vista has moved your usersettings.xml file and fix it.
The problem has to do with Vista's virtual file system and how it fails to update certain files.
I have a fix in the works, but it hasn't been tested on anyone else's machine yet. Would you like to test it?
