I've just noticed that I can lock or remove topics, when did this happen and what did I do to deserve it?

All topics or just the ones you created? Because users have some powers in their "own" topics around here.

Oh I see lol that is a kind of a relief as I'm not sure that I want any more responsibilities beyond what I have already, I enjoy coming here but I have a forum of my own and that is enough to be going on with I think

Yea, that's pretty common on forums.  But now I think on it...there aren't any moderators around here are there?  It's just Alec.  Of course, it's mostly just us 4 and Chibi that do most of the talking so we kind of don't need mods.

True atm but I've known a forum where all hell let loose because there weren't any and no members could put a stop to it when the owners weren't around.... That was all of the time so it was months before we got the porn aads removed in which time the forum just died, all the decent members left.

There are a few mods besides Alec and Derek. Alecs brother Ian has mod rights (even if he stopped talking in April), Brandon (BMcC) has mod rights but stopped posting in Dec 07 and Dereks 2nd Account has Mod-rights too.

But basically it's only Alec, yeah. Luckily we don't get much spam around here.

I'm kind of the only Mod in another forum too and if some porn is posted while I sleep it'll stay a few hours. :-/ But since the forum software update we don't get most of the spambots anymore.

You shouldn't get them at all if you make the forum private, but that defeats the object when it's an help forum for a game, not that many people like to go around joining forum after forum just to get some assistance
