I bought this game a long time ago, and was wondering if I could transfer that copy to steam?

I want to be able to play with steam achievements, but don't really want to buy the game twice if I don't have to.

This has been done with lots of other games, like World Of Goo. So it is possible - just needs to be organised with Valve to have the cd keys enable the steam version.

Would be greatly appreciated if you make this possible!

I bought two copies and gifted one to a friend who is probably too much of a frat boy Halo/Gears of War type gamer to ever appreciate it, just because I wanted to support the game and he's the only one of my friends who probably would never buy it for himself  ;)

He has absolutely no idea what he's missing.  :) Good job broadening his horizons!

I was stuck on RTS's before I found indie games, and now I am trying first person shooters. (Especially the Orange Box - what a steal!)  :)

BTW Alec, I'm sure the Valve guys tell this to you, but anyone who logs into Steam today is greeted by this nice big banner when Steam loads.  I really like the update banners, they key me into games I never knew existed, hopefully it does the same for people unfamiliar with Aquaria.

Nice - I usually hate pop-ups but this one ... this one is alright.  ;D It make me so happy to see awareness of Bit-Blot spreading - you two deserve the attention. Aquaria makes a harsh contrast with the pixelated building games preceding it - they're not quite the same quality (understatement of the year).

[EDIT]: BTW, what are the Steam achievements? I was unable to find them on the Aquaria information page.

Thanks man! I believe that I've accomplished every one of those achievements except for the Speed Racer (<1 minute Arnassi Race time) and High Dive (jumping from an undisclosed location in the Veil).

I've just seen the announcement on steam and think its awesome that it happened :) .

With it being on steam its bound to get more recognition.


Although I share the same thoughts/questions as others, will we be able to use our regular keys on the steam version at some point in the future?

I preordered World of Goo before it was announced on steam and thought it was great that they allowed people to activate it on steam and get all the benefits like the achievements too. It took a week or so to implement but the wait didn't matter.

It'd be great if this was implemented too for aquaria as well.

I just bought the game AGAIN to have it on my Steam account... AND I HAVE NO REMORSE! Just a little Extra fund for you guys.

That may help for the future update as well... ^^

Great job guys! Keep it up! Now... Translation time I guess! :)

EDIT: Change the title from "Aquaria on STEAM?" to "Aquaria on Steam!!!1!!one" :D
Edit 2: Did you check the Meta critic?! 84/100, pretty nice!!

I bought the game again just for the achievements. :D

More support for the team and maybe a bigger chance to get Aquaria 2 some day. :D

But i hope that there will be more achievements added in the future. For example for finding every treasure in the game or every outfit for Naija.

Also, as of the time of this writing, Aquaria is #9 on the Steam top sellers list (though I do not know the basis [daily, weekly, etc]  is for their top seller list).
