How far off is Widescreen? Worth waiting for?
« on: July 22, 2008, 03:48:28 pm »
Hi ya,

I'm downloading my purchased copy after loving the demo. Just curious if anyone knows how far off widescreen support is, as I might hold off starting the game if it is just around the corner....

Hi, welcome to the forums! :)

Its getting close to the end! We're doing beta testing on it with the Mac version. I'm thinking of starting a Windows beta test soon for volunteers who have purchased the game. :D

Cool news! Nice to see a game so passionately supported by it's developers.

I love the atmosphere in this game, so I  personally want to play through the first time without worrying about testing, but I look forward to the results.  :D

Don't worry about waiting for widescreen.  While I'm sure that's going to be an awesome feature, the game loses nothing by being in SD.  If you've got a nice crisp display you'll still get to see and appreciated a ton of detail, and the whole experience is very immersive.  If it were me, I'd play through the game as you've got it now, then just use the next update as an excuse to play through the game a second time.  =)
